Why use it? Many people find the GIMP overwhelming sometimes so they choose Paint.net as an alternative due to the fact the interface is similar to photoshop.

Why use it? The best thing about this program is its interface. Its very different yet quite relaxing to use. The program itself simulates natural painting. Currently it does not support watercolors but when you need a cheep to free (free does not have layer support) to Corel Painter this would be it. This is a wonderful program to open up to relax and draw. I loved it so much that I bought the full program, which is $25.00.

Why use it? Similar to ArtRage however the interface looks more like Painter plus with the support of layers for free.

Why use it? Compared to similar looking CAD software this is the easyest to use and requires less resources on you computer. The free version is limited comparted to the full on for about 300 UDS. However, I hear the full version is free for students. Awesome.
